Calling, Texting, & Emails
You can trust Lake Tahoe Tours And Rentals does not collect or share any customer info with third parties.
We do not send unauthorized emails or newsletters without the okay from our customers, or for booking purposes.
Safety First
1. Helmets
Helmets are required for guests on all bikes and skibikes. Helmets are included for each participant. Additional helmets may be rented for $10/day.
2. Life Jackets (PFDs)
PFDs are required for all paddlesports, and are included for each participant. Additional PFDs may be rented for $10/day.
3. Weather
Keep an eye on the weather conditions. If the weather changes suddenly and creates unsafe conditions with lighting, hail, heavy snow or rain, wind, etc., remove yourself from the area and seek cover in a safe place immediately. We are happy to issue a store credit for any future booking if weather continues.
4. Dress Code
The temperature in Lake Tahoe changes dramatically due to its alpine environment. It is best to pack extra layers so you can be prepared for those temperature changes. it is warmer in the day while dropping fast in the evening.
5. Slow 'N Steady
It is important to start off slow in any sport or activity while learning. Look before you leap and assess the obstacles before "diving in head first." Ask your guide or shop manager any questions you may have before using equipment, and as new questions arise throughout the tour. Take your time and feel free to walk your bike through any trail sections that make you uncomfortable.
Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans can change. Our cancellation policy provides flexibility while protecting the guides, equipment, transportation, and availability reserved for each booking.
All bookings are subject to a non-refundable 6% booking fee. The 6% booking fee is waived when choosing store credit.
Cancellations
7+ days before your activity: 100% store credit or full refund minus the 6% booking fee.
48 hours–7 days before your activity: 100% store credit or 50% refund.
Within 48 hours: No refunds or store credit.
Late arrivals & no-shows: No refunds or store credit.
Weather & Cancellations by Tahoe Tours And Rentals
Tours operate in a variety of weather conditions. Weather-related refunds are only provided when Tahoe Tours And Rentals determines conditions are unsafe and cancels the activity.
If Tahoe Tours And Rentals cancels an activity due to weather, safety concerns, or another operational reason, guests may choose to reschedule, receive 100% store credit, or receive a 100% refund.
Illness, Injury & Ability to Participate
No refunds or store credit will be issued for illness, injury, intoxication or impairment, or if a guest does not meet the physical requirements of the activity or is otherwise unable to safely participate.
For the safety and enjoyment of all participants, our guides reserve the right to deny participation to any guest whose physical condition, fitness level, impairment, equipment use, or behavior creates a safety concern or significantly impacts the experience of other guests.
Private Tours, Large Groups & Team-Building Events
Private tours, large groups, and team-building events require additional staffing, equipment, transportation, and reserved availability.
14+ days before the activity: 100% store credit or full refund minus the 6% booking fee.
7–14 days before the activity: 100% store credit or 50% refund.
Within 7 days: No refunds or store credit.
By completing your booking, you acknowledge and agree to this cancellation policy.
What Is Peek Protect?
"Peek Protect" is offered when checking out. It is recommended if there is any chance you may cancel.
If you cancel your booking on your own initiative at least 24 hours before the start of your first Booking, you will be refunded 100% of the protected amount listed in your confirmation email. Additional services or fees will not be refunded.
Peek Protect is the only option to receive a full refund for bookings canceled by the guest.
